Hello!

My name is Lydell.

I am excited to join you on your journey toward healing and personal growth. As a dedicated professional counselor specializing in clinical rehabilitation counseling, mental, and emotional wellness, I am committed to helping you reach your goals. Certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors and the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification, I bring experience, empathy, and compassion to my practice. I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from Mercer University, where I gained the knowledge and practical skills to support individuals facing a wide range of challenges. In addition to my clinical background, I hold a Master of Public Administration from Kennesaw State University.

My experience working in K-12 schools, higher education, and nonprofit organizations has given me a strong foundation in developing programs and connecting resources to individuals, families, and communities. This combination of clinical expertise and administrative experience allows me to take a well-rounded approach to counseling, considering both individual needs and the larger systems that impact them. My therapeutic style is warm, informal, and easy to digest.

I believe that therapy should feel like a natural, comfortable conversation rather than something overwhelming. Real change happens when you have practical tools that fit into your daily life, and I strive to make each session meaningful and relatable. Everyone has a story to tell, shaped by life experiences, relationships, and worldviews.

My goal is to walk alongside you as we explore how your thoughts and past experiences influence your present. Together, we’ll work on communication, coping skills, and building healthier connections—all at a pace that feels right for you. I have a deep passion for working with multicultural individuals, families, and couples, and I’m committed to fostering diversity and inclusion in my practice. I understand the unique experiences and challenges that people from different cultural backgrounds face, and I strive to provide empathetic, culturally responsive support. Whether I’m working with individuals on personal development or helping families and couples navigate relational dynamics, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and valued.

Beyond my work, I enjoy live music, easy workouts, and a good laugh—because no matter how hectic life gets, I believe laughter is good for the soul. I offer in-person, telehealth, and group sessions, so whether you’re ready to dive in or just want to test the waters, I’d love to connect. You don’t have to figure it all out alone—I’m here when you’re ready, and I look forward to the amazing work we’ll do together!
