Hello!

My name is Kathryn.

I'm a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) and earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia. After graduation, I dove into the field and found my passion working with adults. Later, I trained in EMDR and can't get enough of it—always learning more.

I believe that a fulfilling life comes from balance—between relationships, health, work, and personal growth. But life isn’t always that simple. Challenges, whether from past experiences, relationships, or emotions, can throw things off course. Together, we’ll take a thoughtful look at what’s working in your life and where you might need extra support. My goal is to help you regain a sense of stability and create a path forward that truly fits who you are and what you need.

I have specialized training in EMDR, which can be a powerful tool for healing trauma and shifting negative core beliefs. I also integrate other approaches like DBT, IFS, and mindfulness, depending on what feels right for you. You’re welcome to come as you are—this is a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out. I tailor each session to your unique needs, offering support, guidance, and a little humor along the way.

I particularly enjoy working with individuals who are open to exploring themselves, their relationships, and their environments to create meaningful change. My approach is warm and collaborative, but I’m also comfortable being direct when needed. And if we’re not laughing a little, something might be off!

I understand—both professionally and personally—the challenges of leaving a fundamental or high-demand religion. If you find yourself questioning your faith and are ready to explore life outside organized religion, I’d love to help you navigate your shifting beliefs, process your emotions, and rediscover your identity.

At home, you'll usually find me on my porch, sipping sweet tea or Dr. Pepper while admiring my backyard and garden (though let’s be real, life isn’t always so illidlic). When I’m not soaking in my little slice of paradise, I’m deep into a scammer docuseries or catching the latest thriller or horror movie. A few years ago, I became a full-fledged plant person, and now my space is filled with leafy green buddies. My office? Pretty much a second home for my ever-growing plant collection.

Being a therapist has given my life profound purpose, and I would be honored to work with you. If you think we might be a good fit, please reach out via email to schedule a consultation call!
