Hello!
My name is Allison.
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Supervisor, and Co-Director. I earned my Master of Family Therapy degree from Mercer University in 2014. Since then, I've pursued advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, the Gottman Method, and Internal Family Systems, and I became certified in Perinatal Mental Health.
You can expect me to be warm and actively engaged in helping you reach your goals. I genuinely care about my clients and look forward to our sessions. My motto is: "Everything makes sense in context. If something is not making sense, we don't have the full context." Through this lens, I approach my work with compassion and empathy, helping clients uncover parts of themselves that need attention and care. I work with couples, families, and individuals from a systemic perspective—considering how relationships, culture, family history, and other factors shape our well-being, actions, and emotions. When we look at the whole system, we can create deep, lasting change.
Effective perinatal therapy requires a nuanced approach, which is why I pursued specialized training and certification in this area. I've worked with clients navigating fertility treatments, stillbirth, miscarriage, postpartum depression, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, birth trauma, NICU stays, and identity loss.
The great thing about seeking therapy during this stage of life is that things can get better—therapy is effective. You're not alone in your pain, and I'm ready to walk beside you until you feel like yourself again. In my free time, I go hiking with my kids and husband, make healthy meals, and desperately attempt to keep up with the house. I listen to too many true crime podcasts and enjoy almost any kind of documentary.
