Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you see clients in-person or virtually?
We offer both services! Speak with your therapist about which option works best for you.
  • What are your rates?
Rates depend on each provider’s credentials and experience and are listed on their profile under the "Meet the Team" tab in the menu. Unless otherwise noted, rates are based on 50-minute sessions. A sliding scale is available for those in need—please discuss this option with your therapist.
  • Do you accept insurance?
Do you accept insurance? Our providers are out-of-network with insurance. There are a few reasons for this: Confidentiality & Privacy – Insurance companies require diagnoses and detailed treatment plans, which can limit privacy and may not align with the client’s needs. Limited Control Over Treatment – Insurance providers often dictate the length and type of therapy covered, which can interfere with individualized care. Lower Reimbursement Rates & Administrative Burden – Insurance reimbursement rates are often low, and the paperwork, claim denials, and billing processes can take away valuable time from client care. Despite not accepting insurance, we strive to work with your budget and encourage you to talk to your therapist if you need assistance.
  • How should I prepare for therapy?
Starting therapy is a meaningful step toward self-awareness, healing, and growth. Here are some ways to prepare: Research Your Therapist – Learn about their credentials, approach, and specialties. Logistics – Know your appointment details, payment info, and required paperwork. Set Goals – Identify what you hope to achieve. Emotional Readiness – Be prepared for deep conversations and possible vulnerability. Stay Open-Minded – New perspectives and techniques can enhance your progress. Ask Questions – Understand the process, confidentiality, and your therapist’s experience. Journaling & Self-Care – Track progress and maintain routines that support your well-being. Manage Expectations & Boundaries – Change takes time, and setting limits is okay. Emergency Contacts – Have resources available if needed. Therapy is a collaborative process—stay engaged, communicate openly, and trust the journey.
